Editorial guidelines
How games get onto Hypackle, how we keep the library current, and where the lines are.
Who maintains this site
Hypackle is maintained by a small editorial team based in the UK. Every game listed is reviewed by a person before it's published — nothing is auto-imported and pushed live without a check.
How a game gets added
- Load time and basic playability are checked before publishing. If something is broken or unreasonably slow, it doesn't go live.
- Community requests submitted through Discord are reviewed and prioritised first.
- Where a game isn't fully wired up yet, its page says so plainly — marked "Coming soon" rather than presented as playable when it isn't.
How we keep the library current
Pages are reviewed on a rolling basis rather than published once and left untouched. Category and game pages carry a visible last-updated date so it's clear this is an actively maintained resource, not an abandoned project.
Corrections and takedowns
If something on this site is inaccurate, outdated, or infringing, we want to know. Corrections can be requested through our contact page, and copyright concerns should go through our DMCA policy.
What we won't do
- We won't mark a game as playable if it isn't — schema and page copy only claim what's actually true.
- We won't fabricate reviews, ratings, or testimonials.
- We won't misrepresent our relationship to any game's original developer or publisher.
